Common ablation techniques include radiofrequency ablation (RFA), microwave ablation (MWA), cryoablation (freezing), and laser or high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU). This method is widely used for treating liver, kidney, lung, and bone tumors, and is often performed on an outpatient basis with relatively quick recovery times.
